About C-smitten
"I'm a music enthusiast, a Baltimore native over East, and a beatmaker with producer tendencies. From '05 'til infinity, I will continue to "tinker" with these beats." - C-Smitten
Born in the city of Baltimore, Maryland, C-Smitten always had an idea of what music was. From the sounds of the DMV, to the Baltimore Club Music mixes on 92 Q Jams, music was all around him, but what sparked his interest in music more was Hip-Hop, Rap City, and his genre-exploring middle school years.
As years passed while rapping for a short time, C-Smitten eventually became more intrigued by music production in 2003. That later lead the high schooler toward FL Studio. Like all the greats of beat-making, his beats were mediocre, but after viewing what his friend could do through FL Studio, he took his production style very seriously in 2005. It took some time before he released his first project to the world in 2009, but he gained traction from the infamous Hey Arnold! Beat Tape in 2011. That success applied with Jamla Army affiliation and networking led to his production credit for pHoenix Pagliacci's "Hurtin'" featuring Jean Grae. Now, C-Smitten is comfortable with his music no matter the outcome of sales or who's listening. What matters now is the joy it brings him and supporters, and the process.
